I never had the chance to shoot Josh since his move back to San Diego, so I was excited when he hit me up the other day looking to get some shots of him riding with a bag from his new sponsor, T-Level. We met up and had coffee while talking about his recent trip from Malaysia. I’ve had hectic travel schedules before, but nothing like having to drive to 10 hours from San Diego to San Francisco to fly 20 hours to Malaysia to have to be at a velodrome racing 2 hours later.
I can honestly say I’ve never shot anyone who rides as aggressively in traffic as Josh does, or seen anyone agree to ride down the wrong way on a one way street on a hill as quickly. We’re already plotting out our next shoot, so you can look forward to more of Josh in the future.

SO SICK! Killer photos Matt. Love the photos. Big Red is the man!
Hands down my favorite rider in the Macaframa Film.
These shots are fantastic. I ride through downtown SD every single day and it never looked so cool.
Badass.
your mad mann.
Man-size.
OMG! nice photos. first one is sick, reminds of your early work…awesome.
yeah makes me miss shooting this kind of stuff, i need to do it more often.
oh yeah! these are dope!
Admit it, cycling like this diminishes our reputation and respect from drivers on and off the road..i’m saying this as an avid 25 yr old bicycle commuter from L.A, trying to makes streets safer for us.
although the photos are nice and im sure the rider is skilled…ill have to agree with Dennis’ comment.
this sort of riding furthers allot of drivers’ (even pedestrians’) hate and lack of respect for cyclists on the road…especially riding on the sidewalk and bombing down the middle of a hill against traffic.
we need more love for cycling and less hate when it comes to making it more safe to ride and furthering cyclist’s rights…
just another commuter’s 2cents
